  4. Managing Special Orders: a. To initiate a special order, add the customer's details to the pipeline:

    • Click on "New" within the Opportunities section.
    • Enter the customer's contact information, such as name, email, and optionally, phone number.
    • Specify the product requested, e.g., "Glock 19 MOS, FDE," and assign it to the "Product Requested" stage.
    • Optionally, include the lead value (cost) and opportunity source (e.g., walk-in, call-in, email, chat on Facebook).

      b. Tracking the special order progress:

    • Move the special order through each stage as you progress in the process.
    • When you find the requested product, place it on hold with your distributor and move the order to the "Product Found on Hold" stage.
    • Contact the customer to confirm their continued interest in the product. Update the stage accordingly (e.g., "Lead Contacted, Still Wants").
    • Once the customer confirms their intent to purchase, take the deposit before ordering the product and move it to the "Product Ordered, Deposit Taken" stage.
    • Upon completion of the transaction, move the order to the "Picked Up/Completed" stage.

      c. Optional: Analyzing order history:

    • Retain completed orders within the pipeline to keep a record of special orders processed.
    • Review the completed orders periodically to identify trends or popular products for potential stock expansion.
